There is something so holy and so right about this picture.

Why? To me it looks like a somewhat sparse group of people sitting down (in theater seating, if I'm not mistaken), watching a bunch of supposed experts in some kind of costume doing something around a table. Believe me, I want to be sympathetic, and I understand a good deal about liturgy (i even teach it), but that's how I read the body language. What should we be looking at?
You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive. For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them. (Isaiah 6:9-10)
i presume you're responding to my comment. I was all, 'Huh??' And then i 'saw and saw again' and *think* all the people are gay. Oh now I get it!
Sorry, i was just looking at the liturgical aspect, which looked very ordinary and, um, well not very special. But i get you point.
:) now I get it also. Actually, you've made my point far better than my original comment - it is quite ordinary, (women on the altar as well as gays), so what's all the fuss about? Both the Anglican and Catholic communions are being torn apart by such a simple, ordinary thing. That's why I like the photo and call it 'holy,' because the ordinary is holy. Women presiding at the altar...seems quite normal to me. Amen
