Mountain Solitude

Off to Switzerland for two weeks. Five days of solitude in a chalet at the base of the Eiger and ten days of drama teaching at a summer camp for international school students.

Books I'm taking with me:

JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters by Jim Douglas

What I Believe by Hans Kung

American War Machine: Deep Politics, the CIA Global Drug Connection and the Road to Afghanistan     by Peter Dale Scott

I Shall Not Hate by Palestinian Doctor Izzeldin Abuelaish (whose 3 daughters were killed by the 2008 Israeli assault on Gaza)

Bede Griffiths: An Introduction to His Interspiritual Thought, by Wayne Teasdale

Peace and blessings upon all of us as we strive to heal a wounded world

I'm a week late sending you good wishes for your retreat, Jayden. Wonderful reading list for your time in the mountains. May it be a Spirit-filled retreat.

Thanks, Bill, thought of you and Steve when praying in the lovely Protestant church in Lauterbrunnen. Finished Douglas' JFK book at the very foot of the Eiger (on balcony of cafe). Blew my mind. A truly inspired work.
